Frequently Asked Questions
Note: this course is taught entirely in Arabic — video lessons, narration, and all written material. There is no English version of the course content itself.
- Is the course taught in Arabic or English?
- The course is taught entirely in Arabic.
- What makes this course different from other tuning courses?
- Most similar courses cover only one generation of GM computer. This course covers all three: Gen 3 (2000-2006, P01/P59), Gen 4 (2007-2013, E38/E67), and Gen 5 (2014+, E92/E92A) — for the price of a single course.
- What exactly will I learn in the course?
- Building a tune file from scratch, enabling the VE and MAF tables on each generation, configuring open loop and closed loop, adjusting ignition timing, using the scanner software with ready-made channel tables, and tuning for both torque and fuel economy — from stock engines up to stroker builds. It also includes a full real recorded tuning session with the actual files used.
- Do I need specific equipment or software to take the course?
- Yes — you need your own HPTuners interface (VCM Editor and VCM Scanner). The course teaches you how to use it for tuning; it does not include the interface itself. Your laptop should also hold a charge for at least 3 hours, so it doesn't die mid-session and cause problems.
- I don't want to learn tuning myself — can you just tune my car remotely?
- Yes — we offer full remote tuning priced by your vehicle's ECU generation: Gen 3 ($200), Gen 4 ($300), Gen 5 ($400). You send us your stock file and scanner logs along with any modifications, and we send back the complete tune by email.
- What do I need to have already, to order a remote tune?
- You need an HPTuners interface to pull your stock file and log scanner data, working O2 sensors, and ideally a wideband O2 sensor installed and logged in the scanner (critical for wide-open-throttle fuel tuning) with healthy knock sensors. State any modifications (injectors, engine, throttle body, cam, tires, differential) when you order. Your laptop should also hold a charge for at least 3 hours when flashing the tune, so it doesn't die mid-flash. Response within 24 hours.
- Do you offer in-person (laptop) tuning?
- Yes, but Kuwait only. A laptop tune starts from 30 KWD (for stock or lightly modified cars), and a street tune starts from 60 KWD (for modified cars or cars with fuel economy issues). Contact via WhatsApp to arrange a time.
- Does my car need to be in good mechanical condition before tuning?
- Yes — for any type of tuning (the course, remote tuning, or in-person), the car must be mechanically sound first. Tuning is a way to improve a healthy car's performance, not a way to fix existing mechanical problems.
